Garden Gratitude

You may have noticed another fine gardener has trimmed around the beds!
This really makes the garden look great, and so quickly!

BOUQUETS of thanks to Rose-Marie...
(I saw her do this in the hot hot sun!)
If you know Rose-Marie,
please express your thanks to her too.

Happy Gardening! (and watering!)

What about those empty plots?

Dear Gardeners,

You may have noticed there are a few beds that are quiet, so far this year--aside from some weeds...we have noticed too....

The Garden Leader Team is working to rent these beds, one was "returned" to us, and the others not yet rented.

If you know someone who wants a SECOND plot, they can still rent one of these beds through the office for 20 dollars.  We have contacted the Calgary Gardening Resource Network to advertise the beds for us too.

Planting shorter season crops--lettuce, spinach, radishes, swiss chard, from seed or using seedlings could give a harvest yet this year.

...this is YOUR garden...and it's looking good!

Happy Gardening!

Garden leadership Team

PS Stay tuned, exciting events are coming your way!

Abandoned plots will be reallocated to keep the Garden growing!
This is a reminder of the June 10 deadline outlined on the Mid-Sun Garden Plot Agreements 2012.
As of June 10, any garden plots not planted will be reallocated to the remaining wait lists.
This clause enables the Garden to reclaim any abandoned plots early in the season so others can get growing with them.
Also, throughout the garden season, abandoned plots that are not maintained (seeded, planted, weeded, watered, harvested and cleaned up) will revert back to the Garden Team to be assigned to someone else.
Tthe Garden Team will notify renters of plots that seem abandoned.
We will assume a neglected plot is abandoned if it is not tended to within 7 days of notification.
